Burleigh Pavilion; the talk of the town

By Kaileigh Carew

You know that exhilarating feeling you get when your friend texts you and asks to go out for dinner and drinks after a hard days work… and then they hit you with “So, where should we go?” It’s everyone’s worst nightmare when it comes to making plans… so if you’re utterly clueless when it comes to deciding where to eat or go for drinks any night of the week, thinking to yourself, “Where is the place to be these days?” Well I’ve pulled my private investigating pants out of the closet and found out! Introducing the Gold Coast’s newest hot spot, Burleigh Pavilion. Whether it be a killer cocktail, wood fired pizza or relaxed atmosphere that you’re after, the Pavilion has got you more than covered. This newly opened rooftop bar is buzzing every day of the week, with opening hours of 12pm to 12am and with its breathtaking view of Burleigh beach, how could it not? Catering for those Gold Coasters who are looking to shake off the sand post swim and grab an afternoon bite to eat, as well as those classier birthday lunches accompanied by a glass of Moet. The best bit… no bookings required!

The pavilion then shifts from lunch to dinner creating a bit more of a dressier atmosphere, ideal for birthday drinks or just a night out with friends. If you’re hungry, don’t let the ‘bar snacks’ menu fool you… they’re definitely made for sharing! If you’re a little more on the hungry side you have to try the beef nachos (gluten free and vegetarian options available for all of those Gold Coast hipsters of course…)  or if you’re after something to complement your Seaside Sourcocktail, you need to get the wood fired garlic pizza with Pavilion sauce on the side… this sauce is to die for! If you haven’t already caught on, some of the cocktails are named after the bars iconic location, e.g. The Burleigh Hill, which is just another reason why it is so adored by locals, as well as attracting those out of town tourists. If you’re someone who likes a quiet one, The Pavilion on a Saturday or Sunday night probably isn’t for you. Doing the limbo to ensure you don’t knock someone’s drink and chasing down stools are regular sights at Burleigh Pavilion over the weekends. Did I mention it has already claimed first place for hosting the best Sunday session on the coast? Voted by yours truly of course!
