SHOE ALERT!
Make space in your wardrobe and get those winter tootsies in tip-top shape for the newest bang on trend styles for your feet.
First, barely there sandals, or the ‘naked shoe’ – you will need these… STAT! You will also need to try different styles though, as this look is very minimal, from kitten heels to skyscrapers, giving us late ‘90s to early 2000s vibes revisited.
Next, animal everything has taken over in all shapes and forms for several seasons, this summer will be the snake print; just add floaty sundresses or a structured cargo look.
Let’s not forget the clear PVC shoe! I have to say these are my absolute favourite, giving that naked clear look, and long giraffe legs effect (I’ve never met a girl who doesn’t want long legs!). From wedges to kitten heels or slides, these shoes will take you from beach to bar; add a shell ankle bracelet to embrace the boho trend.
Also, look for a nude shoe, this will elongate your legs, with no colour break (just add fake tan!). If you have a thicker ankle, steer clear of ankle straps that will grab and cut your leg shape off. A slide or mule will do the trick.
Finally, still trending are hot runners: with everything. I am still loving this trend, and on a recent visit to a major shopping centre, I focused on who was wearing this, from concierge to customer, with everything from suiting to floral maxis… too easy.
So, my go to look for this coming season will definitely be clear, with a medium heel, to continue my shoe fetish! Stay stylish.
