It’s never to early to start preventing or treating wrinkles and here are some of my top tips:
STAY HYDRATED AND EAT WELL
A diet rich in antioxidants helps to protect skin from free radicals which can speed up the process of skin ageing and the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Keeping your body hydrated will help boost skin’s hydration levels and keep skin looking plump and supple.
AVOID THE SUN AND INVEST IN SKINCARE
Easier said than done when we have the best beaches and outdoors on our doorstep, but reducing your skin’s exposure to the sun (with a hat and good SPF) will do wonders when it comes to minimising the appearance of lines.
Investing in hardworking skincare is also key when it comes to combatting fine lines. Active ranges of skincare such are designed with ageing in mind, so will do all the hard work for you.
SLEEP MORE AND STRESS LESS
Another thing to add to the wish list we know, but you’d be amazed how much poor sleep and high stress levels show in the skin. Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep per night (switch off that phone!) and implement stress reducing strategies such as daily exercise, meditation and breathing exercises to help keep cortisol at bay.
